What It Is

Pentart Grass Effect Paste is a water-based, textured medium designed to mimic the look and feel of natural grass. It dries with a dimensional, slightly raised finish and can be expanded using heat to enhance its 3-D appearance. The paste is bright green shade

When to Use It

  • To add realistic grass textures to mixed media art, home décor, or altered art projects.
  • Ideal for fairy gardens, woodland-themed crafts, or vintage-inspired pieces.
  • Perfect for aging or “grassing” the base of statues, planters, picture frames, or furniture.
  • Great for seasonal projects like spring, Easter, or Halloween decorations.

How to Use It

  • Prepare Your Surface: Ensure the surface is clean and dry. Pentart Grass Effect Paste adheres well to various materials, including wood, MDF, glass, metal, and canvas.
  • Apply the Paste: Use a palette knife, brush, or sponge to apply the paste. For a more natural look, dab or stipple the paste onto the surface.
  • Create Texture: While the paste is still wet, use a heat gun to gently warm the area. This will cause the paste to puff up, enhancing its grass-like texture. Be cautious not to overheat, especially on heat-sensitive surfaces.

Pro Tips

  • Combine with Pentart Moss Effect Paste or Stone Effect Paste for added dimension and realism.
  • Pentart pastes should not go down your drain. Clean off your brush before rinsing.
