What It Is
Antique Paste is a solvent-based paste containing either orange oil and bitumen, designed to settle into cracks and crevices to create aged, vintage effects.
Bitumen-Based Antique Paste
- Contains bitumen, a dense, dark substance derived from petroleum. Adds a deep, rich brown or black finish, ideal for creating rustic or industrial effects. Good for a weathered, aged look on wood, metal, or other surfaces.
Orange Oil-Based Antique Paste
- Infused with orange oil, offering a different solvent base. Provides a slightly lighter, more translucent finish compared to the bitumen version. Ideal for creating vintage or metallic looks with a slightly softer finish.
When to Use
- Add depth to projects
- Perfect for highlighting texture and cracks
- Use in the cracks of Fine Line crackle and other Pentart crackles
How to Use:

- Wipe off the excess with lint free rag.
- You can buff it for shine or seal it with Pentart Varnish if needed.
